WHO IS ALAATTIN CAKICI?
He was born on January 20, 1953 in Fındıklı village of Arsin district of Trabzon province. Caucasian refugee is the child of a Turkmen family. His mother’s name is Şakire Çakıcı and his father is Ali Çakıcı. He has two brothers, Fahrettin Çakıcı and Gençağa Çakıcı, and two sisters, Gamze Çakıcı and Leyla Çakıcı. His father Ali Çakıcı immigrated to Istanbul because of the blood feud. Kagithane district moved to Gültepe district and father Ali Çakıcı started to run a coffee house here. Alaattin Çakıcı was known in Gültepe and its environs as a headstrong, rebellious, combative, quarrelsome young man who immediately reacted harshly to the injustice he saw. He was blamed for several injuries in his youth. Alaattin Çakıcı was first tried and convicted as an instigator in the murder of a florist in Istanbul. He spent a short time in prison.
