Behcet Canturk (Behic Turkcan in the series) was born in 1950 and was from Diyarbakır. He started his smuggling business in 1975. In cooperation with the Communist Party of Turkey, Behcet organized various communist activities and marches in Diyarbakır Lice. So he’s been tasked with messing things up. He started arms smuggling in 1977. In 1979, he started to sell the smuggled weapons he brought from Bulgaria to the terrorist organization. He went to Syria in 1981 and traded drugs with the terrorist organization Asala. Between 1981 and 83, he entered the gold smuggling business together with some jewelers in the Grand Bazaar. Behcet Canturk was arrested on 22 June 1984 on the grounds that he was a member of the terrorist organization. Despite the military rule in the 1980s, his family continued to smuggle drugs and weapons without slowing down, and this family has even been described as the family that holds the most cash in the country. In fact, they took it further and saw Lice, the district they were in, as the capital of the substance they were smuggling. Now let’s talk about the death of Behcet Canturk. He was abducted by unknown people on 14 January 1994. The bodies of him and his driver were found near Sapanca a day later.

Soner Yalcin, who was a consultant for the script of the Kurtlar Vadisi series, wrote a book called Behcet Canturk’s Memories. The sentences he wrote about Canturk’s death in his book were as follows; He went through torture and was acquitted for allegedly aiding Asala and the PKK. His name was first on the list of 67 businessmen to be killed. The button was pressed, his last shipment had 5.5 tons of base. His last trip was home, but it didn’t happen. His armored vehicle was stopped by people wearing police vests on Friday, January 14, 1994. A day later, he was found in Sapanca, killed by a single bullet in the head. According to what we have told so far, it is obvious that Behcet Canturk is a notorious drug smuggler.
